Stay awhile and listen, it’s tine for another history lesson with Diablo IV’s Book of Lorath. The two previous episodes were dedicated to the distant past of the game’s universe: from the moment of its creation, to the arrival of Sanctuary, the Nephalem and humanity. The latest video in the series brings us even closer to the events of D4.
Titled ‘The Lord of Terror’, the video serves as a quick recap of all the major events that happened since the banishment of the Prime Evils into Santuary. It goes through the original Diablo, its sequel and the DLC Lord of Destruction, Diablo 3 and its Reaper of Souls. Even the events of Diablo Immortal get a brief mention.
From the depths of Tristram’s Cathedral to the peaks of mount Arreat, Lorath’s tale will bring viewers up to speed on everything they need to know to prepare for Lilith’s arrival. While it has been some time since Archangel Malthael’s crusade against the mortals of Sanctuary, the world has not yet totally healed from that tragedy. And it is in this fragile and broken state the father and mother of Sanctuary return. It may not mean the best for humanity, despite the distant familial connection. The two will once again cross paths, and what was built is now at risk of destruction.
