Dark Envoy, a dark love letter to classic RPGs, is coming to Steam Next Fest and you won’t want to sleep on it.
You might have missed it, what with all the avalanche of other game news lately, but we wanted to make sure you don’t miss out on a brilliant-looking new RPG from the creators of Tower of Time. Dark Envoy is a love letter to classic tactical RPG, featuring mythical heroes, gruesome villains, insurmountable odds, and a rich world full of choices along the way. Developed by Event Horizon, this upcoming adventure won’t be bringing a full release to Steam, but will drop a demo that will give us all a look at the title’s modern approach to combat.
Between 6-3 February, players picking up the demo of Dark Envoy will be able to dabble in two hand-picked missions that introduce the world of Jäan. Three of the game’s core characters will unlock for this teaser, covering four classes. The anger, adept, engineer, and warrior will be playable across a range of mines, deserts, ruins, and other spooky forests. Along this limited path players will take on numerous quests, and boss battles, and get to dig into the game’s skill trees ahead of the full launch.
Dak Enovy is an interesting-looking tale, where players control a party of relic hunters in this tale of destiny, set in a conflict-torn Guns N’ Sorcery world. Taking on this epic challenge solo or through online co-op, they can experience whatever dungeons, challenges, and riches may come their way across an epic story campaign. Check it out on Steam now.
