Don’t Nod has jsut announced an exquisite new hand drawn title, Koira.

While Don’t Nod might be better known for bringing us their own in house tales, the narrative minds behind Life is Strange has announced it will publish upcoming title Koira in 2025. This hand-drawn adventure game is penned by Belgian video games company, Studio TOLIMA, and is just the second third-party game to be published by Don’t Nod. The news came with a trailer, and it’s gorgeous.

Fans of intricate art styles like Ori and the Forest will likely love this new tale. Taking players into the world of a forest spirit and her newfound puppy companion, this embarks on musical and magical adventures. As this pair plod through a range of backdrops, the two will rely on their unique abilities to protect each other from lurking danger and overcome challenges. As things unfold, a captivating tale will reveal itself. Crafted using 2D hand-drawn art and animation, even the trailer seems to have its own magic.

Oskar Guilbert, Don’t Nod’s CEO, shares “We’re so happy to support and work with Studio TOLIMA on Koira. It’s a 2D, hand-drawn project that we think fits in well with Don’t Nod’s portfolio and we can’t wait to be able to share more in the future.”

This looks like a wonderful 2D title that fits wonderfully in among some of Don’t Nod’s more emotionally serious stories. While we’ve not been given much more about this, the trailer is enough for us to go Wishlist it on Steam now.
