Doom Eternal, the massive follow up to Bethesda’s brutal blast through a martian hellscape, isn’t even out yet and we now know that the game is going to get two addition DLCs.
Promotional images for the Doom Eternal collectors edition have unveiled the news for avid Doom Slayers. An example found here on the Amazon listing for the latest Doom, details all the added extras that early adopters will get on launch. This includes a Season Pass to hell on earth. This also notes the inclusion of “Campaign DLC 1+2”. It is no surprise that Doom Eternal is going to get a season pass of DLC content. The very first iterations of doom were rife with deathmatch maps and extra add ons even today.
How big each DLC update will be is entirely unknown but we can surmise that as these two will drop over a single year they are going to be a pretty substantial chunk of carnage. In fact, we don’t know much else about these DLC. The only other thing we can tell from the promo material is that these are going to be a single player campaign, so you shouldn’t need t to be plugged into an always online service to get even deeper into the action.
While we don’t know anything more about the DLC, We do know that Doo Eternal is the second iteration n Bethesda’s Doom reboot. This version takes the player’s Doom Slayer back to Earth. After waking on Mars and fighting the hordes of hell, a return home finds the doors to the underworld wide open and a full-scale invasion in progress. Doom Eternal features new demons, a brand new hellscape to play through, and a variety of ingenious new weapons. I’m particularly looking forward to the shoulder mounted flamethrower. You can catch a glimpse of the gameplay on our previous coverage here and take on the newest Doom on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia when it launches on 22 November 2019.
