Early Access Opens Up Feudal Japan for Sengoku Dynasty

Sengoku Dynasty, the latest Toplitz survival and rule sim just went live in Early Access on Steam.

Forget epic swordfights, the elements are your biggest foe if you pick up Sengoku Dynasty. Newly live via Steam Early Access, the first furtive steps into a world of feudal lords and honourable disembowelment is live. Thankfully you won’t have to face any Samurai in this new adventure. Instead, players picking up the spiritual successor to Medieval Dynasty will find themselves a simple peasant tin a brutal world. Plunged into Sengoku era Japan, you’ll need to transform a famine-stricken and war-torn land into their personal legacy.

Just like the more recent in the Dynasty series, what starts as a first-person survival sim isn’t all it seems. Overcoming collect and craft challenges eventually allows each playthrough to unfold into a craft tan d management sim. Building a prosperous village unlocks NPC’s and eventually branches off into a layer’s management, and dynasty RPG that is difficult to exactly describe.

Sengoku Dynasty stans out for its unique environment, cultural taste of this period, and a 3-player co-op mode. Players can set out building their legacy on their own or with up to 3 companions in co-op mode as they embark on their legacy and interact with a wide range of unique characters, some friendly and some who seek to disrupt their way of life. Prosper in this early stage and expect to gain some serious local influence. What starts as a simple set of huts will eventually sport breweries, workshops, houses, watch towers and shrines, all with a bustling life and economy. We’ve not had enough time with Sengoku Dynasty to tell how accurate it is exactly, but it’s likely to be an interesting new avenue for the Topiltz legacy focused RPG. Sengoku Dynasty is available now on Steam for PC priced $29.99 / €26.99 / £24.99 with a 15% launch discount available for one week.
