Hi-Rez Studios has announced that a new Avatar: The Last Airbender event has kicked off in SMITE. A pair of new skins have landed in the game, including Earthbender Toph and Avatar Roku. Toph is playable as Scylla whose four abilities become themed around Toph’s powers. When using the Toph skin, Scylla can hurl rocks and smash boulders into oncoming enemies. Meanwhile, Avatar Roku is a skin for Yu Huang.
Developers have gone above and beyond to bring these epic skins into the popular MOBA. A new trailer shows off the talented artwork of the basic Toph skin, the Fire Nation Toph skin, and the Avatar Roku skin.
The Fire Nation skin can be unlocked for free by all players during this month’s event. After players unlock three elements from the Avatar event, this blazing hot new skin is gifted by Hi-Rez. Players can purchase the skins individually or as part of the Avatar Chest that can also contain Aang, Korra, Zuko, Azula, and other Avatar hero skins.
What else is in the update?
- The Fire Giant is now part of the Arena Map as a new objective. The entire Arena Map is altered with the Underworld seeping into the battleground.
- Players defeating the Fire Giant grants a teamwide buff
- Pyroclast Boulders can be hit by players to hurl them at enemies to knock them into the air
- The epic Bonus Round has made a return
- The Season of Souls is coming to an end with it unique gameplay features including the Stygian Beacon. The next game update will launch the fourth Season of SMITE’s Year 10 and new content will be deployed.
