Gigantic: Rampage Edition, the 5v5 MOBA turned hero shooter gets a gigantic relaunch today across PlayStation, and Xbox today thanks to Arc Games.
Grab a gatling gun and sharpen your sword for the return of a MOBA held in uniquely high esteem by a section of the internet. Gigantic is a game that barely saw the light of day but seems to refuse to ever die. The 5v5 Heo shooter styled MOBA returns from the digital grave today and is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. With 20% off its retail price of $19.99 at launch, the bigger, brighter, rampaging version of this competitive title brings 25 heroes, lots of weapons, and a unique Guardians battle system back to desktops and front rooms.
Initially brought to life by developer Motiga, Gigantic captured plenty of hype when it started making early headlines back in 2017. It, however, could not overcome the studio’s closure in 2017. With work from Abstraction Games, Arc Games is bringing back the animated brawl with a few new, and old, additions.
Gigantic: Rampage Edition is now on sale across digital storefronts and invites players back into the arena to experience the dynamic and exciting team-based multiplayer gameplay of the original and more. Competitors can team up with four other players to control objectives and take down the opposing team’s mighty Guardian, all while protecting their own. Alongside the game fans remember this version also includes new crossplay support, new heroes, a new game mode, new maps, along with upgraded content and several gameplay improvements. New faces on the roster include gun swinging Roland and the feline faced Kajir, while new maps include Heaven’s Ward and the nautical Picaro Bay. Like any good competitive play, there are a number of game modes on offer, plenty of character progression options, and the promise of a future Ranked mode.
If you’re looking for a different type of arena matchup then this gigantic relaunch is worth a look. While our experience of the pre-release tests has seen some bugs still to be quashed, it’s a blast. Gigantic: Rampage Edition is out now. Check out the official website for more.
