EA and Ascendant Studios were on hand during yesterday’s PlayStation Showcase to show off the first-ever gameplay deep dive from Immortals of Aveum. The trailer offers a peek inside the game world and showcases gameplay elements, locations, and characters. Viewers will learn more about the reasons behind the fight between Jak and Sandrakk, a tyrant in the making.
The trailer also provides a look at some of the enemies players will encounter. Each type has its own unique abilities and weaknesses. Players will take the fight to battlemages, powerful bosses, fantasy beasts, and constructs. Each will test a player’s skill with magic that is at the core of both offensive and defensive abilities.
But it’s not just about combat. Players also get to explore the lands of Aveum, each with its unique environment and aesthetics that can be seen in the trailer:
- Kalthus – A rugged land surrounded by mountains, covered in cold swaths of snow, and draped in forested beauty.
- The Pale Forest – This ancient forest in eastern Lucium hides mysterious secrets.
- The Underdwell – A vast network of underground tunnels and caverns near Mount Dresnyr, a large dormant volcano.
- The Library of Akoth – A library once dedicated to the distribution of magic to the masses, located in the Sky-Islands of Oremen.
