Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is coming to conquer your desktop on PC and console.
Games Workshop’s tabletop fantasy is set to flank your expectations and conquer all comers when it arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. This new real time strategy adventure from the team at Frontier Developments was unveiled today and will plunge fans of the iconic IP franchise straight into the savage Realm of Beasts.
Taking us into the heart of Ghur, this upcoming RTS will present players with an inhospitable, violent land where only the strongest survive. A single player campaign launches the celestial, reforged champions known as the Stormcast Eternals to reclaim this realm. Unfortunately, things spiral a little out of control when the Kruleboyz, the sinister and violent Orruk faction, take umbrage with this and players are forced to venture out into the wilderness to retrieve a relic of arcane power to survive.
Along the way a new narrative unfolds, co-penned by Black Library author Gavin Thorpe, and based on the latest edition of this hugely popular tabletop title. When the story inevitably ends up in conflict, a realm of innovative features come into play. Players using a controller will experience DirectStep, a new real-time strategy interface enabling tactical immediacy in the heat of battle. Using the analogue sticks and a few simple button presses, players can quickly cycle through their squads, issue orders and engage the enemy.
These engagements should end up being diverse and engaging thanks to a range of mission types and modes, four playable factions, and tons of unique units to command.
