Mihoyo has revealed a bunch of details on Genshin Impact’s upcoming events ahead of the version 2.8 launch on 13 July 2022.
Genshin Impact is about to get a summer celebration when Version 2.8 lands in just two days, and fans of the massively successful anime inspired RPG can check out a preview of the upcoming in game events. Thanks to an update across the Hoyoverse, we now know that after the upcoming version 2.8 update, players will get a new Time Limited Area, new equipment, outfits, more Story Quests, and a bunch of additional in game events. The full list of the upcoming updates can be found over on the latest Genshin Impact update, but players popping into the summer festivities can find an update to Kaedehara Kazuha’s Story Quest, titled ‘A Strange and Friendless Road’.
New Activities
There are also 5 new in game events, kicking off as early as 15 July. This ‘Summertime Odyssey Event’ allows gamers to complete the specified tasks in “Surfpiercer” and “Phantom Realms” to obtain rewards such as Primogems, Hero’s Wit, and Mystic Enhancement Ore. There’s also the option to use Iridescent Flotsam to exchange for rewards such as Crown of Insight, Character Level-Up Materials, and Talent Level-Up Materials from the Event Shop.
Banners
The aforementioned Summer Fantasia allows players to dabble in a new Wish Event too. Themed as ‘Leaves in The Wind’ the ne wish banner will give anybody with Primogems the ability to take the plunge to grab the 5-star Kaedehara Kazuha, with a massive drop rate boost, as well as new 4-star character “Analytical Harmony” Shikanoin Heizou. The new banners will also include NIgguang, and Thoma too. This chance to get the latest and greatest 5-star looks like it will land some time after the version 2.8 update on 2 August.You can find out even more about the latest 5- star here.
