APICO Is Available On Nintendo Switch And Its Going To Bee Awesome

Whitehorn Games, the team behind magical adventure Wytchwood has released cute beekeeping sim APICO on Nintendo Switch.

After buzzing around on PC for long enough, owners of Nintendo’s handheld game console can indulge in some adorable bee keeping with indie title APICO. Developed by TNgineers and published by Whitehorn Games, this gorgeous looking game is waiting for players to collect, craft, and cultivate their way through a range of environments and challenges. Along the way you’ll tend to a variety of hives, taking a little inspiration from real life and injecting some fantasy too.

Across a range of biomes, potential beekeepers will be able to indulge in resource gathering, bee breeding, gardening, and more to repopulate the islands in APICO. One buzzing with a multitude of species, these lands are now bereft of these fuzzy little critters. It’s not all spellcasting either. APICO is set on teaching players about the ins-and-outs of maintaining a healthy hive and the importance of our irreplaceable pollinating pals.

With over 30 species of bee to discover and protect, tons of hives to inlock, a range of farms to manage, and some bee 2 bee marketing, there’/s tons to do in APICO. PC players are already familiar with this and the addition of crossplay means that Nintendo Switch owners can benefit from that experience.

““The reception to APICO so far is bee-yond what we could have hoped for,” said Dr. Matthew White, CEO of Whitethorn Games. “Now that the Switch version is in people’s hands, we hope that APICO’s bee conservation messaging will spread even further and promote a lot more good in the world.”

We can’t wait to join this environmentally conscious adventure. Check out the cute as heck trailer above and head over to the Nintendo eShop page to find out more or grab this game for $19.99 or local equivalent.
