Developer HoYoverse has taken to the official site to reveal the upcoming events and banners in Genshin Impact Version 4.1. The update is expected to arrive on September 27th, bringing along a plethora of new content. That includes new characters, new area, new quests and so much more.
First things first: character and weapon banners! From the special program (linked above), we learned that the new version will introduce new playable characters: 5-star Hydro Catalyst Neuvillette & 5-star Cryo Catalyst Wriothesley. They will be accompanied by re-runs of fan-favorite Hu Tao and Venti respectively.
This time the developers also detailed which 4-stars will be available on the banners of the first half as well as the contents of the weapon banner. Let’s check them out!
- When: September 27 to October 17
- 5-star characters: Neuvillette (Hydro Catalyst) & Hu Tao (Pyro Polearm)
- 4-star characters: Fischl (Electro Bow), Xingqiu (Hydro Sword), Diona (Cryo Bow)
The weapon banner will feature the respective 5-star signature weapons, including Neuvillette’s brand-new Catalyst Tome of the Eternal Flow, as well as some new 4-stars! Of particular note is The Dockhand’s Assistant, the long-coveted HP-sword that is not Nilou’s signature. If you are more of a visual-oriented person, check out the screens below.

Genshin Impact – Version 4.1 Events Include
- Treasures Along the Road: A Thank-You Gift (September 28 – End of Version 4.1) – log in during the event to receive Primogems, Fragile Resin, and other rewards!
- Bathing in Flowing Moonlight login event (September 29 – October 16) – during the event, login on 7 days total to receive Intertwined Fate x10 and other rewards.
- Waterborne Poetry event (October 12 to October 30) – during the event, complete various gameplay modes and reach a certain amount of Poetry Gala Fervor to obtain exclusive 4-star Catalyst, its refinement materials and other prizes!
- Radiant Harvest (September 28 to October 9) – collect Violetglow Jellyfish in collection areas. Complete the challenges to obtain Primogems, Weapon Materials, Mora, and more.
- Dodoco’s Bomb-Tastic Adventure (October 6 to October 16) – complete challenges in all stages to obtain rewards such as Primos, Weapon Materials, Hero’s Wits, Mora, and more.
- Neuvillette Story Quest – Diluvies Chapter. Requires the completion of Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act IV “Cataclysm’s Quickening” and AR40 or above.
- Genshin Impact Initial Top-Up Bonus Reset.
