Ghostbusters The Video Game Is Getting A Resurrection

Ghostbusters The Video Game

Who ya’ gonna call? In an obscure corner of Taiwan, it’s about to get spooky because it appears that Ghostbusters The Video Game looks to coming back and it is getting a remaster.

For those of you that remember the names Spengler, Venkman, Zeddemore, and Stantz Ghostbusters The Video Game is probably a nostalgic trip that we all took. Originally released on back in 2009 and published by Atari, it landed on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms. Ghostbusters The Video Game gave many of us a last chance to bust some ghosts by taking control of a rookie ghost hunter and going FPS to hunt anything that goes bump in the night. The inclusion of many of the film’s principal cast members made the game something special, if not always the most original title.

Now, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee website has revealed old and new fans of the slimed four-piece will get a chance to relive it in HD. Two entries for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered appeared recently, suggesting that it is incoming, and soon. To add fuel to this speculation, a website domain called playghostbusters seems to be active, without any content at present. This all comes on the same year as the original film’s 35th anniversary, cementing my belief that we are probably getting this sooner rather than later.

We do not know what platforms are likely to get this remaster but the Xbox One S All Digital edition seems like a fair shout. It has no doors to let Zuul in, clearly. Keep an eye Gamespace for more apparitions as they appear.
