Hybe, the Korean music giant, is about to take on the gaming market and publish its very first game, ASTRA: Knights of Veda
The label behind Korean pop sensation BTS is about to bring multiplayer online RPG ASTRA: Knights of Veda to gaming screen. The dark fantasy RPG will land on desktops sometime in the near future, forcing players to free a cursed land from impending destruction. Like many fantasy RPGs, players looking to pick up this tale of heroics will amor up on a foreign land. The realm of Planis . Cursed by the madness of Magnus and beset by horrendous evil, it’s up to you and the other knights of Veda to restore some semblance of normalcy.
Along the way expect to encounter other adventurers, engage in tactical combat with co-op encounters or simply wield from a range of skills and weapons solo. Designed with a retro 2D environment, this upcoming RPG definitely stands out from the likes of Blizard’s big brand alternatives.
While Hybe might be better known licencing BTS out to other titles, the team building Knights of Veda are far from new. Developer FLINT had some sizeable success with Dragon Blaze back in 2014. Hybe don’t seem to be taking things for granted either. The music megabrand has appointed a team of game industry veterans whose past careers include positions at top gaming companies such as NEXON, NCSOFT, EA Korea, and more to lead HYBE IM as a gaming arm of the brand.
