The superhero fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us is free to grab this weekend on PC via Steam, Xbox, and Playstation 4.

While the weekend normal has changed for many of us, it looks like NetherRealm’s impressive 2013 superhero fighter is set to keep you busy for the next couple of days. WB Games has confirmed that between now and 25 June, gamers can pit characters like Batman, Superman, Black Canary, and Wonder Woman against each other in a battle for the future, and it’s all for keeps.

Injustice: Gods Among Us dropped back in 2013 and was a smash hit and a personal favourite across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita. The game made its way onto current-gen and PC and boasts more than just a slapstick branding opportunity. The team at NetherRealm are also responsible for some of the best Mortal Kombat titles to punch their way up the charts in recent years. This particular title allows players to take the role of a multitude of classic DC comic book heroes as part of an expansive single player story and while jumping online to take on other players in a head to head. The game was so successful it spawned a sequel. Do not think that just because it came out in seven years ago that it isn’t going to look good either, the game still stands up fantastically today.

Players on PC can grab the Ultimate Edition of the title for free over on Steam. Gamers with a console will have to head over to the Xbox 360 Store or PlayStation Store to pick it up on your platform. Alternatively, if you want something a little different, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is also free to try over the weekend and Assassin’s Creed Origins is also giving players the opportunity to try out the Ubisoft title for nothing too.
