Last Epoch Shared Launch Retrospective

Last Epoch Shared Launch Retrospective

The developers of aRPG Last Epoch have shared a new blog post on Steam to provide players with 1.0 launch retrospective. It is a little different from Eleventh Hour Games’ usual overviews like the mid-cycle survey results.

Last Epoch launched on February 21st to an incredible reception from the community, getting over 1.4 million adventurers log in to save Eterra over the first week after launch. There’s plenty of cause for celebration, but the developers also don’t want to forget the rougher parts of the launch. The first couple of days were quite frustrating for anyone trying to play online.

In the blog post, the developers are breaking down what went wrong and reflecting on that experience. It is a lengthy read that goes into detail as to what was happening behind the scene as the developers attempted to rectify the situation.

“With the launch behind us, we’re all very thankful to you players for showing so much passion for the game, despite the rocky start.

EHG started from a group of gamers hoping to make the ARPG they wanted to play, and now EHG is a group of gamers hoping to make the game YOU want to play. Your passion, enthusiasm and, when deserved, criticism have continued to encourage our teams to deliver that game and push the definition of what an ARPG can be, should be, and will be. Our team could not have made Last Epoch what it is today without you, and we will endeavor to keep making the game you all deserve.”
