Moss PSVR Gameplay Shows Off an “Impossibly Adorable Hero”

Moss first made its debut at last year’s E3, but in the intervening months, we have heard little to nothing about it. That is, until today. The PlayStation Blog has a nice interview with the Polyarc team.

Social Media Manager at SIEA Justin Massongill talked with the team about its debut PS VR game that stars Quill “and adorable and exquisitely animated miniature heroine”. She inhabits a “lush, foreboding fantasy world”.

“The studio makes it look almost effortless, but a lot of work has gone into making Quill a character players instinctively care about. Things like the sense of scale in each area, the believable way Quill reacts to situations, and how players can interact with her all play a part. At certain points in the game, Quill will communicate directly with the player using ASL!”

For the first time, Polyarc shows off some game play that will leave you hoping the release date arrives sooner than December 2018. In the meantime, you can preorder the game from the PlayStation Store for $30.

About Moss

This is a single-player action-adventure puzzle game and new IP from Polyarc tailor-made for the VR platform. It takes classic components of a great game—such as compelling characters, gripping combat, and captivating world exploration—and combines them with the exciting opportunities of virtual reality.

Players meet Quill, a young mouse with dreams of greatness beyond the confines of her settlement. While exploring the woods, she finds a mysterious piece of glass and an ancient magic is awakened. With her uncle now in grave danger, Quill must embark on an epic journey—and she needs you there by her side. Together, you’ll travel to forgotten realms, solve challenging puzzles, and battle menacing enemies. Alone, no one can conquer what you’re up against. But united, you just may defeat even the darkest of villains.
