New World: Rise of the Angry Earth is the first major expansion for Amazon’s MMORPG, and it’s about to change the game in so many ways.
Available now, the very first paid for add on for New World is here. Announced back at the end of August and set to change the very face of your island getaway, the expansion is open to play right now. Heroes of Aeternum will find it adds a bunch of major features, stories, endgame content, and an increased level cap. Mounts are also coming too.
Aeternum Isn’t What It Used to Be
Anybody keeping an eye on new World might have noticed more than a few changes in game of late. After two years spent exploring an uncharted Island, this has seen towns change, stories written, and plenty of content updates to make New World what it is today. While that means a much more polished experience than in launch, New World: Rise of The Angry Earth will offer even more. The latest chapter in this MMORPG finds First Light fallen. The southeastern tip of the island is now ravaged by war and the wrath of the Angry Earth. This chaos has woken the mighty Beast Lord, and unlocked new abilities for the most adventurous heroes.
Expect to find a zone entirely transformed. The Elysian Wilds is a mysterious landscape transformed by Artemis and the Angry Earth with Gorillas, Mammoths, and other beasts to battle. Getting around should be easier, however. Thanks to all these new animals, you’ll be able to master and mount a range of animals from across the game. Pick from horses, dire wolves, or lions.
Like any good expansion combat accompanies narrative. A new hearttune ability lands in this update. You’ll be able to unleash an inner beast and deal unarmed light and heavy attacks on enemies that you encounter out in the wild. If you’d rather not go into battle unarmed, the Flail is a versatile one-handed weapon that joins your current arsenal. It can be used on its own or with a shield producing some interesting combat tactics. You’ll be able to use those tools to hit an increased level cap of 6 and gear score of 700, and if you’re still looking for more adventure, then jump into a New Expedition, titled ‘The Savage Divide.’
New World: Rise of the Angry Earth is a massive change to an MMO that is seriously worth heading back to. Existing players can grab the new expansion for $29.99. New players can pick up both the base game and the expansion for $69.99 as part of the New World: Elysian Edition bundle, on the New World Website.
