The community of players in gamigo’s stable of games has been instrumental in raising funds for the Eden Reforestation Project. With the monies raised, Eden Reforestation will be able to plant 111,000 trees in an effort to offset the effects of global warming.
Players were able to purchase $1.99, $9.99, and $19.99 packages for their favorite games. Each one contained a number of in-game goodies and counted towards a game-specific community total. Players were also able to compete for a spot on the leaderboard in each community in a good-spirited competition. With 111,000 trees set for planting, the fundraising effort was a resounding success.
gamigo officials said, “We’re incredibly proud to have such a dedicated community that went above and beyond for this charity event. That’s why we decided to pitch in ourselves and show our support of the important work the people at Eden Projects are doing and that, no matter how small, everyone can make a difference.”
