New World kicks off a brand new adventure today with the release of Season 1 – Fellowship and Fire
After something of an unexpected delay, Amazon just kicked off Season 1 of new world. Titled Fellowship and Fire, this update to the popular MMORPG is set to give players a very different way to experience the danger and excitement of this fantasy island. Players picking up this new chapter will find themselves in charge of a new mercenary group. These Silver Crows set out to put down the constantly rising threats that criss-cross the land. The start of this new narrative follows on from the Brimstone Sands and finds layers employed by Skye the Spear-daughter, to track down and halt the ambitions of a powerful Warlock and the Varangian horde.
New enemies, wielding powerful magic await, and a new Empyrean Forge Expedition. Set at level 60+, this outing will take players into a snowy region filled with the corrupted to do battle. If you want any hope of keeping the hard won peace, then it’s up to you to track down commanders of Sir Loth, a knight of Artorius, to stop the flow of mysterious magic deep within a necropolis.
Alongside the new content, this inaugural season introduces a Season Pass. Featuring a free and premium track, with a range of reagents loot, exclusive cosmetic drops, the Season pass is probably a solid investment for anybody crafting or simply taking part in the MMO fashion parade. If all this sounds familiar, we thought so too. While the Season pass might not be very Tyrian, the story book narrative and extra content has us thinking Living World. That’s no bad thing, however.
