Developer Blizzard Entertainment shared the latest information on the new Support hero joining the roster of Overwatch 2: Kiriko. Previously the team showed what it’s like being a kunai-throwing, wall-scaling support in a gameplay video. Now it’s time to see where she comes from in Kiriko Origin Story and what made her into who she is today.
Kiriko Kamori is a ninja healer who forged her own path with a mix of tradition and innovation. Torn between her grandmother’s traditional devotion to the Fox spirit and her mother’s more modern way of the blade, Kiriko was forced to choose. But how could she, when both are a part of her?
“For generations, my family has served and protected our city by following traditional paths. Me? I made my own. Some of the old, some of the new.”
The developers have revealed that in Overwatch 2 – Season One, everyone who logs in to play will receive Junker Queen and Sojourn automatically, whether they’re new players or returning. Players who own the original Overwatch will also receive Kiriko through their Founder’s Pack, which needs to be redeemed by logging in before the end of Season Two.
If you don’t fit the requirements to obtain Kiriko right away, you can still unlock her through the standard free Battle Pass.
