Netmarble has announced that Paragon is back, but in a new form. Paragon: The Overprime will arrive in Early Access on 8 December as a very different challenge.

While you might know Netmarble for a its mobile endeavours, the publisher behind Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds and Seven Knights is about to reboot an ill fated franchise. Epic’s promising action adventure Paragon never made it to full release, but now Netmarble is set to turn that unfortunate outcome into an opportunity on 3 December. A free to play PC MOBA called Paragon: The Overprime is due to come screeching into Early Access, bringing a rebirth for plenty of new and returning faces.

Players who have already tried out Overprime during testing have busily been picking from a range of heroes, each with their own skills and capabilities and jumping into a frantic battle for the enemy base. In a high fidelity experience, players must make the correct choice when synergizing talents and picking the right time to push across a myriad of environments. While this all sounds pretty familiar for anybody dabbling in a bit of Runescape x Smite, the response from initial testers seems to be generally positive. If nothing else this is a chance to see what Netmarble has done with the original paragon assets.

In addition to quenching our curiosity, anybody playing in the game’s Early Access will get to try out a a roster of 27 heroes, including Zena. Zena is a digital human developed by Metaverse Entertainment, a subsidiary of Netmarble. Dubbed The Light Bringer, Zena is a virtual idol that was summoned by Shinbi’s phantom wolves , from the earth to Planet Prime. Zena moves through the warfield with splendid yet action-packed visuals and attacks enemies with a distinctive sword made just for her. Powered up with Shinbi, they are coming to stop the upcoming crisis in the universe.
