The release of A Plague Tale: Requiem is drawing ever closer. The game will be arriving on Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 18 and will also be available Day One with Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC and Cloud. Previously, developer Asobo Studio took players behind the scenes to show how the game’s scenery comes to life from a piece of concept art to a finished location.

This time, the team is sharing a look at the tech behind the game. Discover how the team pushed their limits to create an experience honoring the power of new generation hardware. For non-French speakers: you might want to turn on subtitles.

From the start, the team had an ambition to take A Plague Tale further instead of repeating the first game, Innocence. The next-gen tech became an obvious solution which allowed the developers to bring unique features to life such as the rats and the environment. While the first game featured whirlwinds of rats, Requiem improves on it and offers entire waves of rodents, even tsunamis.
