Get Outdoors and Grab Some Friends For the New Pokémon Party Play feature.
Pokémon Go developer Niantic has announced a new way to play with friends. The breakthrough augmented reality mobile hit for fans of pocket monster is getting a different way to play with friends. A little like Scarlet and Violet’s union Circles, this new feature will allow players to team up and take on challenges, but it comes with its own particular twist.
Available now, the feature allows up to four total Trainers—level 15 and above—adventure as a party together. Eligible players can both host or join a party, giving hem the option of seeing what the rest of their team is up to, and taking on activities from catching Pokémon to exploring the world, together.
In addition to the more generic party mechanics, this team up can take up Party Challenges. After a party is formed, the party will receive a pop-up asking which Party Challenge they want to take on. Party Challenges can be focused on spinning PokéStops, battling in raids, catching Pokémon, and more. Raids also benefit too. During these epic battles, a new bonus will be available: Party Power. This doubles the damage of your next Charged Attack and charges with every Fast Attack.
If you’re still busy upgrading your Vaperon or taking down the local Gym, it might be time to enlist some friends. Party Play is rolling out globally on October 17. Check out the official blog post or just jump into Pokémon Go on mobile now.
