Unpacking Is Coming to Mobile Screens

Unpacking, the indie smash about more than just unboxing your possessions, is coming to Android and iOS devices.

Available on the 24 August, Humble games and Witch Beam’s unusually engrossing title is set to unfold onto the App Store and Google Play Store. This follows on from an initial PC launch and console ports, leaving just on the go options to introduce. Players can already lock in their moving date over on the App Store, with movers costing around $9.99 or local equivalent.

If you’ve yet to hear about Unpacked, then this zen like experience is a mix of spatial management, decorative adventure, and mystery. Taking the title to its logical conclusion, this game asks players to pull possessions out of boxes and fit them around a new home. As you organize these objects in a number of ways, you’ll start to uncover more about the life that the protagonist just left behind. It all sounds pretty benign to describe, but Unpacking has already landed over 20 prestigious awards, including Best Narrative and EE Game of the Year at the 2022 BAFTA Awards, and garnered more than 50 award nominations.
