Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago is coming soon to Steam, itch.io, Google Play Store, and App Store to add some fantasy magic to old school pet sims.
14 Hours Productions has just announced a rather inspired new mix of Tamagotchi inspired pet sims and fantasy life, with the Elf raising adventure, Yolk Heroes. Due to land across multiple platforms, this new sim proves that being a deity isn’t all thunder and wrath. Players picking up this cute monochrome adventure will find themselves challenged to raise Elf heroes.
Using Tamagotchi styled gameplay, you’ll look after and care for creatures at a slow relaxing pace, with RPG elements where you send your hero out on quests to test their strength. If you’ve done their job and they succeed in their dungeoneering exploits, then the world will be a little safer for it. As they grow, these children will take on new quests, equipment, areas, bosses, npcs and consumables.
Like any good digital pet sim, it’s not all about questing. While this is no Talking Tom, you’ll need to take care of these new friends. Elves, in their egg form, must be defended from the weather and other creatures. Once the egg cracks open, a cute baby elf pops out! As a Guardian Spirit, your next step will be to raise your baby to become a fully-fledged hero. Add in the odd bathroom break and the risk of an untimely demise, means you’ll want to take good care of this fledgling hero.
