During the first day of QuakeCon 2022, the Redfall team took to the floor to talk about how they are bringing the game to life. Arkane Austin’s Studio Director Harvey Smith, Creative Director Ricardo Bare, Art Director Karen Segars, and Lead Producer Aaron Carter spent 20-minutes chatting about the complexities, successes, and challenges they’ve encountered along the way. In addition, the team gave viewers a peek into the story behind Redfall, its vampires, the characters, and the weapons featured in the upcoming game.
Slay alone or squad up for up to 4 player co-op in Redfall, an open-world story-driven FPS from the creators of Dishonored and Prey. The town of Redfall is under siege by a legion of vampires who have cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors, choose from a roster of heroes to create the perfect team of vampire slayers and take back Redfall.
An open world packed with mystery, a diverse roster of heroes to choose from, strategic combat that will keep you on your toes, painstakingly crafted environments, a rich narrative driving you through the world, a wide array of weapons… and vampires. A lot of vampires. Sneaky vampires that grab you and separate you from your team. Hulking vampires capable of tearing you and your team to pieces. Godlike vampires powerful enough to eclipse the sun. Arkane vampires.
Developers are targeting a 2023 release date for the vampire-themed FPS.
