Rogue Legacy 2 Spawns On Nintendo Switch

Rogue Legacy 2 - a big dragon

Rogue Legacy 2, the heir raising rogue lite sequel, is now on Nintendo switch.

We’re still sweeping up the last of the big names from yesterday’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase, and that includes the appearance of rogue Legacy 2. Following on from the very first of this series, this instalment of Rogue Legacy is now available on Nintendo Switch. Developer Cellar Doors Games brings a generational leap forward for its iconic rogue lite improving on every element of the original, and dropping a brand new update at the same time.

To celebrate the Nintendo Switch port, players will also get a brand new update, as of yesterday. The Fabled Heroes update snaps on 5 new subclasses like the Lich King and Spymaster, alongside dozens of new Runes, Relics, and Spells for anybody heading back to the dungeon.

For fans of the first, Rogue Legacy 2 takes things into a whole other dimension of adventure. Now, a 2.5D style unfolds with 3D characters hacking and slashing through 2D backdrops and dungeons. Players jumping into battle will find that no two classes play the same, with rangers ready to rain arrows from above while Dragon Lancers, bards, and more all have very different ways to overcome the biomes of this world.

With the sequel, expect improved relics, traits, and brand new heirlooms. These fundamentally change the way that the game plays, unlocking new abilities that fully reveal the world’s secrets if you are worthy enough. With more of just about everything on offer, at a fluid 60FPS, Rogue Legacy 2 is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for £22.49 / $24.99 USD / €24,99, Steam (£21.99 / €21,99) and Xbox (£20.99 / €24,99). If you are still happily hacking through Dead Cells then this one is worth a look, while those more interested in grabbing a limited edition Chef or Dummy plush can head to the Makeship website!
