RWBY: Grimm Eclipse – Definitive Edition Is coming to the Nintendo Switch on 13 May

RWBY: Grimm Eclipse – Definitive Edition Is set to ring team JNPR to the small screen this May as Aspyr and Rooster Teeth team up for a Nintendo Switch release Originally launched way back in 2016 as a 4 player, online co-op, hack and slash game based upon Rooster Teeth’s international hit series RWBY, the new Definitive Edition port for Nintendo’s hybrid handheld console is set to make some changes as it slashed its way through a whole host of Grimm on the Switch. Unlike the PC version of this adventure, Switch players will find 2 player co-op here, meaning more Grimm for each of you. There are likely to be some graphical tweaks without a high powered GPU under the hood, but we wouldn’t expect it to be noticeable on the Switch’s small screen.

Largely, RWBY: Grimm Eclipse – Definitive Edition once again Ruby, Weiss, Black and Yang on a quest to stop the forces of the Grimm and Doctor Merlot, you’ll find yourself in control of Beacon Academy’s finest. Each of the 4 characters comes with their own unique abilities and upgrades, each of which should be familiar to fans of the animated series. As the team cut their way through legions of enemies, an exclusive and fully canon storyline unfolds, set somewhere between volumes 2 and 3 of the show. Players looking for a little less structure can take on the Grimm in Gauntlet & Horde Modes, defeating waves of these dark monsters as they try to overtake the aforementioned heroes. In another treat for followers of these four, a full voiceover from the cast of the show and an original score from RWBY’s composer is included too.

RWBY: Grimm Eclipse – Definitive Edition seems to bundle in everything that is already available on PC, including 3 years of DLC. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to bash Grimm in your pyjamas, then there’s a costume DLC for that too. To celebrate the announcement that RWBY: Grimm Eclipse – Definitive Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch, Aspyr didn’t just drop a trailer, which you can see above. Eager Huntresses of the series can also enter for a chance to win a limited edition Alpha Beowulf statue, a RWBY Grimm Street Fight print art set by artist Yin Shian Ng, the RWBY Semblance Sumi-E weekender bag, a RWBY x Ein Lee Ruby pint glass set, a RWBY Team RWBY throw blanket, a one year subscription to Rooster Teeth First, and a digital copy of the game for Nintendo Switch.
