See What It’s Like in the Mobile Infantry before Starship Troopers: Extermination Lands

Starship Troopers: Extermination is moving out, but before this interstellar vanguard lands, take a look at the latest recruitment trailer.

Whether you’re wielding a medipack or some sizable munitions, there’s a place in the Mobile Infantry for every Terran. Starship Troopers: Extermination is out to recruit as many currently able bodies as possible for the fight against the Bugs, before it gets boots on the ground later this year. Coming in 2023, this squad-based co-op FPS just gave us a look at what’s coming.

This is not Terran Command, the RTS that popped up last year, and the new trailer definitely demonstrates the differences between the two. The new trailer teases a scenario where players are placed on the far-flung front lines of a battle against Arachnid menace. Anybody foolish enough o become meat for the grinder will have to tackle the most dangerous threats as part of an elite unit of soldiers and wield the most powerful weapons that a human being can carry as the swarms close in. Players will get a look at the trusty Morita Assault Rifle, medical capabilities, and support bunkers that will all play a crucial part in Human victory. With the resources available in each warzone, even more utilities will unlock, from basic walls, towers, and ammo stations to some seriously powerful options. You’ll need to harness everything at hand to stave off a range of bugs. Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Grenadier, and Tiger Elite enemy Bugs are just the beginning, coming to Early Access when things go south.

Based on the darkly satirical 1997 movie, Starship Troopers: Extermination features plenty of the bombast and horrific monster movie magic that fans will be familiar with. Along the way you’ll maybe even work together with other recruits to complete objectives and then escape to the extraction point together. Check out what’s coming in the trailer above and sign up over at the official Steam Store page, if you want to know more.
