Starship Troopers – Terran Command Eradicates Bugs And Prepares For 16 June Deployment

Starship Troopers - Terrna Command bugs attack a human outpost

Starship Troopers – Terran Command, the upcoming RTS take on the iconic insect war, has a deployment date, and it’s coming to PC on 16 June.

Slitherine Ltd and developer The Aristocrats have announced that the newest front in the war against the insectoid threat is set to come to PC on 16 June. Available soon via digital storefronts, Terran Command is a new take on the monster horror that graced cinema screens back in 1997. Instead of a horde shooter, the cult classic now gets a seemingly obvious Command & Conquer twist, challenging players to take control of the Mobile Infantry and send young men and women off to face the Arachnid threat.

As the soldiers of Earth head out to the distant planet of Kwalasha, you’ll prepare to use your superior tactics and tech to take on an overwhelming array and breadth of insectoid threats. Anybody who’s seen the dark satire of the 90s sci-fi film series will know what to expect. Lots and lots of big nasty bugs. Thankfully, you’ll have an expansive range of unique units, weapons, and special abilities at your behest. Everything from the Morita Assault Rifles and MX-90 Fragmentation Grenades right through to E-Pulse rifles, and TAC Fighter airstrikes are available to unlock throughout the main campaign.

With tons of trooper types, tech trees, and tactical scenarios to fight through, this campaign with the MI is looking like far more than a simple Hollywood sequel. If you’re ready to take on the might of this inhuman army and fight for the honor of the M.I. then you’ll be able to pick up your commission on 16 June.
