Developer Lavapotion introduced a new update for turn-based strategy/RPG game Songs of Conquest, and it’s all about enhancing the AI difficulty settings. Something that the community has long been requesting, and that was a long and arduous process. The difficulty levels spectrum expanded from five to seven options, providing greater variation.
“We’ve revamped the AI difficulties to ensure that there’s a challenge suitable for every player out there. Say goodbye to confusion and hello to consistency—we’ve changed the naming system so that you’ll know exactly what you’re up against when confronting enemy armies or tackling those pesky guardians protecting coveted artifacts. It’s now similar to when you explore our maps!”
The developers’ goal is for any player to discover that one AI difficulty that aligns with their playstyle. Whether you want to increase difficulty up to 11 and find yourself being challenged at every step, or lower it to enjoy a cruise through the map. The levels of difficulty are still a work-in-progress and will go through further refinement before full release.
