The dynamic combat system is coupled with interesting challenges, and oversized monsters, that echo the unique design that you’re likely to encounter across this upcoming tale. Along the way these vehicles can be customised and upgraded to discover new locations and fight off enemies that will only get tougher as the gang starts to venture into greener and lushier territories.

These aren’t the only upgrades shown off either. The desolated city of Spino might not look like much in this showcase, but it is full of potential for players to breathe life back into it and call it home: as the adventure progresses, the city will grow and evolve, adding new merchants, quests and options to prepare yourself before the next adventure.

Sandland is due to arrive on 26th April 2024 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Originally a serialised Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama, appearing in Shonen Jump in 2000, this series follows an unusual and heartwarming rabble in a worn out desert world as they seek water to survive.
