If you’re a fan of Spelunky, hold onto your shorts. Indie developer Mossmouth has made your week with the announcement of Spelunky 2 for Playstation 4!

You won’t learn much about the game from today’s announcement other than it is a thing. We do know, however, that one of the characters you’ll see is the child of the original game’s protagonist. Other than that, the trailer reveals little more than some of the art as well as the timeline for the game happening after the original.
The first game was released in 2008 and again in “HD” mode in 2012. Since then, it’s just about everywhere and is universally loved by everyone.
If you’re a fan of adventure games with pretty nifty platforming action with randomly generated levels and tons of secrets, this one’s a no-brainer.
