Summer is here and it’s time t build a new farmhouse as Staxel announces a move to the Nintendo Switch on 23 September
Staxel, the creative farming game from Plukit is set to come to Nintendo’s on the go hybrid on 23 September. The cute farming caper first hit PC back in 2018 and now Nintendo Switch owners can rebuild their own slice of life farm by picking up this title on the Nintendo eShop later this month. Mixing block by block building mechanics and laid back farming sim systems, this loveable adventure will allow owners to reconstruct their own getaway from the ground up.
In Staxel, everything is customizable, from your very own farmhouse to the village shops decoration. There are tons of decorative blocks to find and use, creating a village full of opulent abodes, or more rustic huts for your soon to be neighbours. As a budding town is finished off and facilities added, NPCs will fill the void, giving players plenty of relationships to explore before they head out into the wider world. Getting up close and personal with the wildlife in first-person mode. Staxel offers a whole world out there to explore, with fish to catch, bugs to hunt, and otherworldly realms to discover. Players heading back with a haul will even have an opportunity to take part in a range of festivals and events in and around their newly minted town.
Staxel may initially look and feel a lot like other slice of life farming sims like Littlewood and Story of Seasons, but the seemingly Minecraft inspired building system and customized Nintendo Switch control system and a plethora of content updates should make this cute caper a joyful experience for anybody looking to try it out.
