Take a moonlight walk, smell the roses, and watch out for that shallow grave as you take a dip into a new demo for up upcoming otherworldly dating sim, Sucker for Love: Date to Die For. The follow up to the last eldritch monster romance is due to haunt up your heart on PC in the near future. For now, this colorful title has a teaser up on Steam.
Players picking up the second in this series of heartfelt experiences will find themselves in a familiar, and slightly risqué, romp through the Black Woods. New protagonist Stardust is captured by cultists while investigating the strange goings-on of her hometown, Sacramen-cho. It’s up to players to wield a strange book, woo the mighty Rhok’zan, The Black Goat of the Woods, and survive with most of your bowels intact.
Like any good sequel, this is a new story, with plenty of extra feature. Gorgeous hand-drawn 360-degree 2D environments await you, while plenty of horror puns are likely too. There’s also a brand-new character in Stardust, an often-overlooked member of the LGBTQIA+ community who is asexual. That is something of a subversion for a dating sim. Then again, this is a sequel to a monster dating sim that that mashes together visual novel elements, eldritch horrors, and anime aesthetics. Nothing about this is normal.
