Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Summer Games Fest 2023 kick things off with an unexpected announcement from Ubisoft, a brand new gameplay trailer for a new Prince of Persia title. This new adventure brings the long running platformer into the present with an updated look and a metroidvania styled platform adventure. playing as a young warrior named Sargon. combat looks slick who is trying to find the missing Prince Ghassan. There’s not a whole lot more announced about the upcoming title, although you can expect it to arrive on PC, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, and PC.
Mortal Kombat 1
Blood, gore, evisceration, and kung -fu. It’s all here with a little bit of lore too. The developers at NAME return to the origins of the Mortal Kombat universe with something of a reimagining this time. The new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 gave us a look at this upcoming beat ’em up coming to every imaginable platform thanks to developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games. Expect some absolutely stunning visuals, that certianly blew us away, and plenty of ridiculous finishers across a multitude of mode as I scream MORTAAAAL KOMBAAAAT!
Path of Exile 2
Grinding Gear Games are moving on from their wildly successful first installment in the PoE universe with a brand new follow up. Path of Exile 2 is, of course, the sequel to the first ARPG in this series. We already knew it was coming, after an initial 2019 announcement, but this gives us the first proper indication of what to expect when we go down into the dungeons. It is expected to take the well established gameplay of the original and update it with tons of new features and a gorgeous graphical overhaul. SGF introduced the Path of Exile 2: Ngamakanui Teaser trailer, giving us a look at the overall feel of this brand new world. Street Fighter 6 x Exoprimal
Ok so we were all confused about this one and it’s typicly Capcom alright. Street Fighter 6 x Exoprimal went full cyber Ryu, with oversized lazer guns and weaponized dinosaurs. After the initial shocik and wth reactions you might notice a few things. This upcoming corssover blends an online multiplayer shooter with Street Fighter. Putting players into the Exoprimal universe, you’ll be expected to go toe to toe with giant dinosaurs, shooting them into oblivion because big toothy dinosaurs. Capcom, somehow, decided it made sense to meld in Street Fighter 6 characters and that’s what you’ve got here. Expect carnage and kickboxing on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms. Summer Games Fest just dropped a brand new look and an Early Access date for upcoming dark fantasy shooter, Witchfire. After an initial announcement and some teasers, we now know the incoming inquisition is set to slay on 20 September for PC, via the Epic Games Store. Until it comes out all guns blazing, the appearance at this summer’s most recent video game cavalcade gave us a look at what to expect when things kick off, and you can take a look above. Conjured up by the creators of Painkiller and Bulletstorm, this spellbinding bit of run and cast plunges players into a grimdark fantasy. Here, a deadly war rages between powerful witches and the Church, and the Witches of this world are extremely dangerous. These vicious predators have only one real foe. The Preyer. These Vatican sorcerers come packed full of powerful magic and forbidden weaponry.
Crossfire: Sierra Squad
A new VR shooter hits eyeballs soon. Smilegate is brining Crossfire: Sierra Squad to Steam and PlayStation VR. This game is inspired by the immensely popular Crossfire multiplayer shooter and puts players into the role of a paramilitary operative taking on clandestine and just plain dangerous operations that nobody else in the Global Risk oorganization will.As part of the team, you’ll weild 39 types of weapons of shootable, explodable, and other weapons to take out a range of enemies across a variety of 3D encounters. Chek out the trailer above and prepare to keep an eye on your flank when this arrives later this year.
Sonic Superstars
Sonic Superstars is another established franchise appearing at Summer games Fest 2023, but one Im all here for. While some of the other announcements have been bizarre crossovers and yet another follow on, this is the follow up to Sonic origins I can get behind. returning to the beginning with a new approach, Sonic Superstars drops us back in green Hill with a completely refreshed look, multiplayer capability, tons of new features, and all Soncic’s friends. yet, it doesn’t seem to have lsot sight of what made the original great. So check out the trailer, slide, skate, swim, and dash through familiar foes like the Eggman and use a bunch of brand new features soon. Check out more on the official website
Honkai Star Rail
The latest update and newest face in Honknai Star Rail is here. Silver Wolf. Silver Wolf has a unique mechanic to inflict Type Weaknesses on enemies. When she uses her Skill, there is a chance of inflicting a Type Weakness on an enemy target. The Type will be the same as the ATK Type of at least one ally currently in the team. Her Ultimate can also decrease the Defense of a single enemy target and deal damage to it. Whenever she attacks, this genius hacker has a chance of implanting a random Bug on an enemy target that can reduce the target’s ATK, DEF or SPD.

Sand Land
Sand Land might be an Action RPG from Bandai Namco, but it is helmed by legendary anime artist Akira Toriyama.. Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X and Switch this odd amalgamation of post apocalyptic adventure and surreal anime inspired aesthetics is everything we hoped it would be. Based on a short lived manag series form the 2000s, this plunges players into the role of Beelzebub. This demonic little prince is ready to meet the locals, pilot tanks, and goof around in a world where you don’t have to be quite human to save humanity. Throne and Liberty
Throne and Liberty got a massive new gameplay trailer during Summer Games Fest. the upcoming fantasy MMO from NCSoft and Amazon games is due to come west soon, and we got a look at the blistering combat gameplay. Channeling plenty of epic scale and medieval fantasy concepts, it’s likely to engage fans of conquest gameplay. Set in the magical land of Solisium, things go a bit sideways when a big bad Kazar is resurrected by the ambitious Revil Lupius, a castle is conquered, a girl is kidnapped, and an evil sweeps across the land. Crash Team Rumble
Mix in the platforming competitive play of Smash Bros with the chaotic Crash bandicoot, and twist the game modes to ensure its more than just fisticuffs. You’ve got Cash Team Rumble. Alan Wake 2
need we really say more. Return to the horror tinged imagination of Alan Wake with a follow up to the classic title. Designed by the same studio that brought us Control, Remedy’s Alan Wake 2 introduces 2 interchangeable characters that players can take control of and explore two very different world. Whether you explore the small town backdrop or get trapped in the nightmare realm, you’ll have to escape this horro story. Nothing here is what it seems and you can take on this mysterious new entry in the series on October 2023 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2
Summer games Fest gave us a first look at the co-op campaign of this dip into the 40K universe. Playing as the iconic Space marines, it’s up to you to hold the line against the Xeno and Tyranids of the universe. Thankfully you won’t be doing it alone. This new trailer gives us a look at gameplay that seems to take plenty of inspiration from the Vermintide Series while translating that instanced gameplay into the incredible gothic encampments that dot the edges of the Void. Whether it be sword or gun, join up to 3 comrades in a distinct campaign for the Imperium. Check out the trailer to see how its done and before Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 arrives this winter.

An unexpected follow up to the very first Yes Your Grace. This entry from developers Brave at Night brings back the ideas of the original with some impressive enhancements. Filled with Slavic myth, this kingdom management sim challenges players with a range of randomized petitioners. Much like the first your decisions as a monarch will decide how things play. Be a ruthless tyrant or benevolent benefactor. your call. This time around, it’s presented in a 2.5D captivating pixel art style that will elevate the story and make your decisions even more heart-breaking. There’s more at stake than a happy ending however, for someone is always eyeing your throne. Rebuild your castle to your former glory and fight for your home when the time comes.
