Super Mario figures are now part of McDonald’s Happy Meals. This should please fans and collectors alike. The special figures will be available from now through May 22nd.
“Nintendo is always looking for ways to expand its brand, and a partnership with the family-friendly McDonald’s restaurants felt like a great fit,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Like Mario, Happy Meals are something both kids and parents grew up with.”
Which Super Mario figures?
Many of the characters in Happy Meals are stars of the upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game for Nintendo Switch. You can get hold of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Yoshi as well as a Red Koopa Shell or a Green Mushroom. This special run of Happy Meal toys is only available in the US.
In addition to the toys, fans can also register for special sweepstakes on the McDonald’s website. Up to 100 entrants will be chosen to win any one of a number of prizes including:
- Nintendo Switch console
- Mario Kart Deluxe game
