Obsidian Entertainment has long been known as one of the princes of roleplaying games. In something of a departure from that specific genre, the company’s next game, Grounded, is a PC via Steam and Xbox One survival game clearly inspired by Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. The company has announced that the game will be heading into Early Access starting on July 28, 2020.
In the game, players find themselves shrunk down to the size of bugs and it is up to them to find ways to survive this alien world. Players can engage with the game either solo or with up to three others with the goal of finding the resources and materials needed to craft a base of operations. As players become more experienced in the world, they become more adept at surviving it and can begin working towards returning themselves to normal size.
