During last weekend’s San Diego Comicon 2023, Telltale announced a bonus episode for its upcoming game, The Expanse: A Telltale Series. Shohreh Aghadashloo reprises her television series role as Chrisjen Avasarala in Archangel, “a completely different take” on the game. Players will experience a fateful day in the life of Chrisjen as she attempts to manage conflicts across the solar system. At the same time, she battles rival politicians and navigates her family drama.
Telltale developers released a new trailer for a peek inside the episode to showcase how different Archangel is from the rest of the game.
The special bonus episode is being planned for a Fall 2023 release. It is free to players who own the Deluxe version of the game, or it can be purchased as a standalone addition to the Standard edition. Preorders for the game are already open. Players can purchase a copy for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Epic Games Store ahead of the July 27th release date.
In addition to the announcement of the bonus episode, Telltale developers also released the fifth and final episode of their behind-the-scenes series about making the game. This time, devs talk about “Building the Belt,” one of the most important locations in the series.
The video series is designed to give fans of both Telltale and The Expanse unprecedented access to the game’s development. The other videos feature discussions about how the narrative for The Expanse: A Telltale Series was designed, how the game fits into the broader Expanse canon, and conversations with some of the Lead developers on the project.
