Riot Forge shared a new trailer dedicated to the upcoming 2D pixel action RPG The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, this time offering a look at combat. The project is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, GOG, Steam and Epic Games Store on April 18.
In the kingdom of Demacia, the Mageseekers hold the power to oppress magic-using citizens in the name of public order–by inducting and indoctrinating them, locking them away, or driving them into hiding. You play as Sylas, one such mage that managed to break free of his captivity. Wielding the chains that once bound him, Sylas must liberate his homeland from tyranny.
Magic is everywhere, including on the battlefield. From searing flames to deadly ice, master a variety of spells and customize your unique play style. Brandish your chains and use your enemies’ magic against them, or bash them with your fists–the choice is yours.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story continues Riot’s tradition of expanding the League of Legends universe with additional media of different types. The other entries include:
- Arcane – In the cities of Piltover and Zaun, unrest stirs as inventors and thieves, politicians and crime lords chafe against the constraints of a society torn asunder. As dissent reaches a fever pitch, two sisters steal an artifact of untold power. Second season is in the works!
- Ruined King: A League of Legends Story – unite a party of League of Legends Champions, explore Bilgewater and set sail for the Shadow Isles to uncover the secrets of the deadly Black Mist in this immersive turn-based RPG.
- Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, a fast-paced rhythm runner, every action has an explosive reaction and no amount of mayhem is too much.
- Convergence: A League of Legends Story, a single player 2D action platformer that features time control from Double Stallion Games will also be available Summer 2023.
- Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, a heartwarming single-player adventure game from Tequila Works will be available Fall 2023.
- Project L – an upcoming fighter game from Riot, featuring many familiar characters. Release date unknown.
