Level Infinite just announced a massive Tower of Fantasy x Evangelion event for 2024.
Players and otaku should prepare for impact as the influence of the Angels comes crashing down into the hit free-to-play, open-world MMORPG. In 2024 players can expect to see the iconic cast of Neon Genesis Evangelion, including Asuka Langley Soryu, Rei Ayanami, Shinji Ikari, as well as the iconic Evangelion Test Type-01 Eva. The pilots of these huge Multipurpose Humanoid Decisive Weapons will leap into Aida to fight the ever growing list of threats faced by the Wanderers. The news suggests that we’re actually going to see Shinji as more than just a cosmetic make over too.
While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Eva pilots in a video game, the Ninjala x Eva collab coming to mind, the Tower of Fantasy x Evangelion announcement comes with its own exclusive content. Time limited simulacrums, plots, outfits, and customized vehicles are already confirmed as part of the apocalyptic loot.
Electrifying Winter Rhapsody
Alongside this exciting development, developer Hotta Studio has confirmed what’s coming for winter. The next update, titled Electrifying Winter Rhapsody, will add a new story, loot, and adventures. On 21 December, the 3.5 update will find players taking advantage of the peace that follows their trip to Hendeca County and launch a research campaign on the Darkform they retrieved from Hendeca.
