Ubisoft Introducing NFTs into Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Resistance Trailer & AI Teammates

Ubisoft has announced that it is moving into the cryptocurrency age with the introduction of NFTs into the PC version of Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The new system is called Ubisoft Quartz and allows players to purchase unique in-game cosmetics by using Digits. These NFTs are clearly identified in the game with a unique serial number. The blueprint for the player’s NFT can be sold to other players even if the owner is banned from the game.

Developers have a plan to run a beta test for Ubisoft Quartz later in December to test out the Digit system. In addition, all Breakpoint players are being offered three free NFTs for Ubisoft Connect PC players only:

  • M4A1 Tactical available on December 9th
  • Wolf Enhanced Helmet A available on December 12th
  • Wolf Enhanced Pants available on December 15th

Traditionally, items you purchase from an in-game store are bound to your game account. Digits take things a step further by giving you more control than ever! While they are first and foremost playable items, Digits enable you to put your items on sale to other eligible players, whenever you want and at the price you set. Similarly, you can purchase new items directly from other players. All these transactions will take place on the authorized third-party marketplaces rarible.com or objkt.com, not on Ubisoft Quartz.

Ubisoft Quartz has been made for players, and players only. This is why we will make sure that anyone who wants to acquire Digits is a player that is engaged in the Ubisoft ecosystem. To qualify to acquire Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint Digits, you will have to reach XP Level 5 in the game, be at least 18 years old and live in an eligible country.
