Walk the Links at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in EA Sports PGA Tour

Just in time for the 151st Annual Open Championship, EA has added the Royal Liverpool Golf Club to EA Sports PGA Tour. Players can now walk links trod by some of the most famous golfers in history. The new course is available in all game modes.

In Career Mode, players will alternate between Royal Liverpool and St. Andrews every season. The game has been updated with new menus, screens, and key art to reflect the addition of the new course to suit Season 4. Once the Open Championship gets underway in the “real” world, players will find new Challenges that “recreate key moments from the event.”

The update also includes several quality-of-life updates, stability fixes, and the opportunity for online players to tailor their gameplay experience to suit their styles. “For example, updates to career mode allow players to switch between Quick and Full rounds at the start of each round instead of only at the start of each tournament.”

Other significant additions

  • Matchmaking has been updated to allow players to join a lobby for a minute after the initial matchmaking is complete. This allows up to 16 players to occur more frequently.
  • Online mode will rotate through new playlists. Each will have a theme and feature smaller, random courses complete with variations in course conditions, weather events, and more.
