Want A Job Working On The Horizon Zero Dawn MMO?

Horizon Zero Dawn is now available for Pre-Load on PC!

NCSoft seems to have confirmed that the Horizon Zero Dawn MMO is really happening thanks to its job listings.

Details broke over the weekend that seem to confirm the NCSoft is working on the Horizon Zero Dawn MMO and that it is really going to happen. A job listing highlighted by twitter user ‘@Kurakasis’ links to a job listing on the NCSoft careers page that not only uses the traditional font and format from the franchise, but also seems links to an ongoing project named Project Skyline.

Project Skyline is one of a number of games currently under development by Korean MMO specialist NCSoft. This includes the likes of Aion 2, Blade & Soul 2, Throne & Liberty, Project BSS, and others. The appearance of a Gameplay Programmer listing seems to fit the bill for this title, and seems to link it to previously codenamed Project H.

The new hiring details seem to lend some credence to rumors that suggested NCSoft and Sony had partnered to build out this new world, and more official statements regarding a strategic partnership between the two. The details dropped over on twitter seem to suggest that this is part of a large undertaking by the publisher behind Guild Wars 2 and is just one of several upcoming releases.

What Could Be Waiting

While much of this is not confirmed y either Sony or NCSoft, it’s a tantalizing proposition. Horizon Zero Dawn is an acclaimed open-world action role-playing series. Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by mechanized creatures, players assume the role of Aloy, a skilled hunter and outcast determined to uncover the truth about her past and the mysteries that shroud her world. A unique and dynamic ecosystem, where players must utilize stealth, strategy, and resourcefulness to survive and thrive among mechanical beasts and savage tribes present an intriguing idea for an open world MMORPG.
