Altus just dropped an animated story trailer for Persona 3 Reload.
A hugely hyped RPG remake ratcheted up the anticipation last night with a brand new trailer. Upcoming adventure Persona 3 Reload returns to Port Island in a new animated opening, which you can watch right now. The new teaser for this entry in the Persona franchise introduces an unusual group of teenagers, collectively known as SEES and their inevitable transformations.
Fans of the original 2006 version will recognise the main protagonist, Takeba, Iori, Kirijo, Aigis, and more. There’s also a brief flash of supporting characters like Igor, but we won’t spoil the story for the uninitiated. The new glimpse at what’s coming also introduces the track ‘Full Moon Full Life’.
While the opening looks incredibly stylish, skirting with comic book aesthetics and clean lines, it dips into some heavy topics. Just like the original game, the animated opening uses imagery that comes with its own trigger warning. The transformation from ordinary teenagers int their alternative Personas is facilitated by a device that looks a lot like a handgun.
Persona 3 Reload is due to arrive on PC, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Game Pass on 2 February 2024. The remake of this genre defining RPG follows a group of teens as they dive into a hidden world that exists between one day and the next. Using the aforementioned tool, these unique individuals can awaken an incredible power and an alternate version of themselves. Mixing turn-based battles, modern graphics, and a slice of ordinary school life, this is going to be a must play for RPG fans.
