Wavetale, a wonderfully charming new platformer from Thunderful, is coming to PC and Console.
The publisher behind the inventive Lego Bricktales has just announced an end of year treat with the launch of Wavetale on PC and Xbox. While the PlayStation, Switch and PC release of this gorgeous looking platformer happened yesterday the Xbox version leaves the docks today. Playing as a teenage girl, anybody picking up this adventure will find themselves on a quest to escape the boundaries of decaying archipelago.
Starting out on the isle of Strandville, Wavetale meets the Sigrid. This tale finds the young protagonist just before she stumbles across an enigmatic shadow that provides her with the power to walk on water. Like any good story, this unexpected event kicks off a narrative that will result in exciting encounters, mysteries, and some colorful characters. Everything from frustrated fishermen to wild eyed pirates populate the border of this aquatic world and Sigrid will navigate her way around them using an array of new powers. Players can speed through the towering waves, swing from the rooftops with Sigrid’s net and fight an old nemesis to save the citizens of the islands. All with a bit of help from the shadows deep down below—and your cranky grandmother.
This wonderful getaway from the festive frost is available today for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 on all platforms. You can find out more by take a glimpse of the trailer above or heading to the official website.
