Sonic Mania Devs Unravel Penny’s Big Breakaway on PC and Console

Penny’s Big Breakaway Is Out Now across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Penguins, Kings, pirates, and a sentient Yo-Yo are all available in a bright new platforming adventure. Penny’s Big breakaway is the colourful new title from Private Division and Evening Star, and we’ve been waiting for this one. Available right now across pretty much every platform going, this animated platformer presents a kinetic 3D platformer is 11 worlds full of exciting action, imaginative challenges, and some aggressive penguins.

Set in a fictional world where entertainer Penny has come across a sentient Yo-Yo, this stroke of luck has taken a turn for the worse. In an unfortunate skit gone wrong, Penny has enraged Eddie the Emperor and his flightless forces. Over a wild variety of backdrops, Players picking up this new adventure will guide Penny ion an attempt to escape capture, and hopefully wait for everyone to calm down a bit.

While we might have seen comedic characters and bright 3D animation in other well-known platformers, this new world has its own standout feature. The latest escapade from the publishers behind the likes of Olli Olli World and Rollerdrome continues to lean into airborne movement and fancy moves thanks to the aforementioned Yo-Yo. This amazing companion allows Penny to swing, dash, flip, zip, and trick through and over obstacles. In addition, a variety of powerups and tools mean that this versatile toolkit can smash down walls, wield hammers, increase overall movement speed, and even turn into a giant wrecking ball.
