Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest Gets An Xbox One and PS4 Release

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest is set to launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles on 24 February.

After initially launching on PC back in 202 and Nintendo Switch earlier this year, this furry-iously good adaptation of the classic pen and paper RPG is now set to arrive on Xbox and PlayStation platforms. Fans of the World of Darkness series that isn’t centered on vampires can follow a brand new adventure in the footsteps of a new Garou.

In Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest you’ll pick up the pace beside protagonist Maia. While trying to learn more about her heritage, you’ll visit a range of environments all inspired by the real world and uncover Maia’s dark family history. The narrative mode of this title strikes a very different tone to the recent Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood RPG and seems to have struck an excellent balance as our Nintendo Switch review confirms. As part of the new wave of ports, you’ll be able to enjoy Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest on a slightly higher resolution than the Nintendo Switch can offer, with backward compatibility on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S devices. This also provides full 4K display support on both release platforms too.

As an introduction to the World of Darkness’ black sheep, Heart of the Forest is an excellent choice. It might be short but Emily scored it at an 8 out of 10 and Different Tales even scored the Paszport Polityki award for their work.
