Ubisoft has announced that the upcoming Mario + Rabbids sequel is set to play host to yet another one of the publisher’s big names when Rayman returns as post launch DLC.
Announced as part of the weekend’s avalanche of Ubisoft updates, the newly confirmed content for the upcoming turn based tactical follow up to Mario + Rabbids Battle Kingdom from Ubisoft and Nintendo is about to bring back a huge name in a very unusual arena. Rayman, the platforming character that has been a mainstay of the Ubisoft catalog will take center stage when this new add on arrives on Nintendo Switch at a future date.
Alongside the confirmation that a new DLC is incoming, fans of the must buy anarchic adventure got a teaser trailer too. This doesn’t include any gameplay, so we’ve yet to see how the latest additions to Mario’s most unusual combat mechanics play out. The newly announced inclusion introduces Rayman into a brand-new universe that melds together more elements of the Mario and Rabbids titles, adds in a bunch of new encounters, and probably tons of new Rabbids dressing up as Mario characters again.
While we don’t know tons about the future of the Mario + Rabbids series, we’ve got high hopes and little time to wait. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is due out in October 2022 for Nintendo Switch. You can find out more over at the official eShop page now, where pre orders are open.
